Why can't Sky/ITV/BBC team up and build a semi-permanent structure on the green, it wouldn't be anymore obstructionist than what is already there now...
For the love of god somebody get Sky News a tent!
It's peeing it down at Westminister and they seem to think that's the best place to broadcast live from under one umbrella!

Just to ask how many presenters have left and who are there all? it seems Andrew Wilson, Lorna Dunkley and Samantha Simmonds. is there anyone else?

I like the live cam Sky are using overlooking Parliament with the Shard in the background. Better quality than the fuzzy one that the BBC uses with the clock face seemingly blurred out.

The first 5 minutes of the 5pm bulletin was all over the place from a presentation point of view.
Started off with cutting to Dermot at TOTH who just looked around for 15 seconds not knowing what was going on, until Gillian interrupted and half way through Cameron's Speech we cut through to a different clip that was totally silent, for about 15 seconds before Gillian figured out what was going on.

Agreed it was a bit of a mess - The silent clip was a live showing the official announcement from the 1922 committee.
I bet they wish they had extended the time the studio could be in place in Westminster.

Similar thing happened on BBC News, both channels cut away from a clip of Cameron to the live shot of the 1922 Committee a bit early, the pictures were being provided by Parliament and audio was only made available for the announcement.

I thought the 5PM opening was handled quite good to be fair. Obviously they were trying to establish communication with Dermot, and when they could't Gillian took over reading the headlines quite smoothly.
Sky News has been great with the coverage today.

I doubt any permanent structure would be allowed.

A small building split into three would look miles better than all of the tents, gazebos and platforms there at the moment though.
