It’ll be all the WD40 they’re using. Keeping it moving along nicely.......

The camera which looks directly at the big screen (mainly used during The Kay Burley Show) must a broken in some way. I noticed it during The Kay Burley Show yesterday with Emma constantly having to look up and there was no camera movement at all. Then during the Press Preview it was all side shots and nothing facing the screen.

On today's Kay Burley Show (with Sarah), they're using the desk in the 11-1:30 position, but with Sarah standing up - the TOTH shots and close ups are awful camera angles.

I don't like how they still call it 'The Kay Burley Show' when she's not there. Reminds me of the American network newscasts that have the anchor's name in the title, so that when said anchor is off, the fill-in presenter has to say '[Main presenter] is off tonight, I'm [the fill-in]'. It's a shame they couldn't bring back the Afternoon Live brand, really. Also, I'm not a fan of how, on the TOTH on KB's show, they have the coming up bit before the top stories: it didn't work in 2005, and I don't think it works now.

Actually, I do think that the 2005 look was probably the best that Sky News has ever had, and I think it was a real shame that it was basically undone so quickly. In many respects, I'd say it was way ahead of its time, and had it launched more recently, I reckon it would have been received much more warmly than it was. At least it had some life to it back then - nowadays they seem to want to out-BBC the BBC. The journalism is as good as ever, though, and that is obviously the most important bit - I just think the channel itself is a bit boring to watch these days.

Afternoon Live brand is now on BBC News Channel so I doubt we will ever see that return to Sky News.

Yea noticed the same thing last night for the Press Preview with Anna Botting.

All looked slightly awkward. And don't think the cameras raised when they used the external shot going into the break as usual.

Noticed Sky's Children's current affairs show FYI - For Your Info being used as padding during a normal hour of Sky News this afternoon.

Great to see them doing something for younger audiences, but not sure how they'll be watching when the rest of the hour is targeting older audiences.

A 'normal' weekend hour edition which happened to be on a bank holiday.

Sky News including FYI has been on my EPG for the last few weekends, but hasn't been shown before when I've watched.
