Sorry if I have missed this but what has happened to Tamara Cohen? She seemed to feature quite heavily on KB@B pre-covid and even did some bits from home towards the start of lockdown but I haven't seen her for ages. Joe Pike seems to be flavour of the month now.
Also, on an unrelated but totally TV presentation note. Sky Sports Racing now using the new logo but retaining the same graphics (similar to Sky Sports News which in turn are similar to Sky News itself). Does this suggest that even when the new logo turns up, we will be stuck with the same old stale graphics? Even getting rid of the white underneath the ticker and on the split screens would improve things. Terribly bland. Maybe do away with the red on straps too, the blue used on KB & News at 10 is much better.
I did note that the graphics on Sky Sports Racing did seem to have a bit more gloss and this prompted me to look closer at the current Sky News set. Have they also had a very slight subtle makeover? There definitely seems to be a new gradient on the breaking news strap.

No. SSN and Sky News have different rebrand intervals, independent from the logo change. When the Sky News logo changed in January 2018, the graphics stayed the same, when SSN launched the new look in 2017, everything changed but in return it is expected to stay the same now and only the logo changes, at least this is what happened here Germany with SSN. So you can still have hope...

That is good to know. Does anyone on this thread have any insider information on when we may expect the new graphics? Indeed would we have already seen them had it not been for COVID?
Also, is the new Westminster studio as it was originally planned to be before the virus or has the end result been different because of all the delays etc?

Rumours of November.
Yes, it's as originally planned based on the "mockup" wooden set from early in the year.
There was mention of a new set for SSN this summer, whilst the Olympics were going on, but that didn't happen.

Interesting, their set looks pretty good as is and probably superior to Sky News, wouldn't mind them doing a complete switch to be honest

It's also falling apart!

Completely agree with that , it just feels so wrong that SSN is already done with a set that's far superior to the sky news ones IMO. And what does happen to the originally planned and already started set for the World News channel ? TBH at the moment the glass box is my favourite set, never thought I would say this, but better than all this recently launched video wall ********.

Caught a couple of minutes of Burley’s show this morning and the Westminster set looks really rather poor on screen. Using such a wide view of Westminster across the screens means that the close up anchor and guest shots look awful (behind Burley you could see a few blurry lampposts and half a Sky News logo, behind her guest you could see some trees and what I presume is meant to be the House of Commons).
The whole set up is just visually awkward; from the washed out screens to the two chairs dumped in an otherwise bare studio.

The two chairs do look especially odd.
I'd like to see a small interview desk that could be moved in and out as required.
For the whole 'lion's den' vibe that they're going for, I think a face to face desk interview (a la Sophy Ridge) would fit much better.
Here's some pics of something Good Morning America use for one-on-one interviews. I feel like something similar would work.
