Presumably it's a good soft launch - you get to do a short bulletin with fewer presenters and can spend more time on it?

Not sure if they're going HD tonight?

Have they had an HD upgrade?

Is it possible in the 3 weeks that they've been out to alter the kit to HD, construct the set and rehearse?

Considering Channel has also had a HD upgrade, I'd expect so.

Nice view of Birmingham Central Library. Makes a refreshing change from that same shot of the Bullring.

Haven't seen the whole set yet, just seems like a locked off shot.

EDIT: Just teased the new backdrop but said they'll show the new set off tomorrow.

Lovely view that has been framed very nicely in that shot, we'll have to see what it looks like with a two shot.

No HD, you can still see the difference in the quality of the reports & studio footage, more so on the reports when a graphic is overlaid. I also heard a hiss on the studio microphones, is that usually present?

Calendar launched their new set last Monday, but not until the main 6.00pm programme
