The official line is "ITV News in Central", it wasn't Bob who said it today or last night.
What did Bob say at the start today?

ITV News Central have stated (over FB message) that some viewers said they didn't like 'from Central'...
Just heard again the intro at 22:30, "ITV News in Central". Sounds a bit odd.

It would be the simplest thing wouldn't it?
I think they should just say "from ITV News Central"

Well not really no. Then you'd be repeating yourself - Here is the news from ITV News Central...?? Still doesn't sound right. Granada said yesterday something along the lines of "This is ITV News from Granada Reports" - Granada Reports being the name of the show under the strap line ITV News in the titles. Therefore, why can't Central say "This is ITV News from Central" - in the same way Granada wouldn't say "This is ITV News in Granada Reports".
Which idiot said they didn't like "from Central" - that sounds awesome, that being the old name of the regional station? They used to say in the Central idents from 1996-1999 "Time now for the latest news from Central". Surely it can be used again and still incorporate "ITV News". "In Central" sounds weird...

Yep even "from Central" sounds good. In fact, much better. I think they may change the "in Central" soon. - I'd like to hope so anyway.

"Welcome to ITV News, this is Central!" Not bad, although sounds more like a continuity announcement altho it sounds better than " in Central".
