EuronewsNBC coming in September

Following the Strasbourg attack, Euronews English has been live for over an hour - instead of the loop of repeats of Euronews Tonight and Raw Politics, Euronews Tonight is putting out rolling news.

Euronews German and French are showing No Comment Live, dipping in and out of Euronews English with live translation.

Tesa Arcilla, presenter of Raw Politics, was caught up in the incident, being in the lockdown area of the city centre.

So this seems to confirm that although the normal schedule involves a repeated loop of programmes, there's a team on standby to react in such instances.

EuroNews (I think) made its official stateside debut on MSNBC due to the shooting at Strasbourg. They dipped in and out to a SD looking feed and Skyped with a correspondent that was in lock down in a restaurant. I think the corresponds first name was Tess and the audio was hard to hear as the restaurant was crowded and people were still having a good time.

Just noticed that MSNBC and Euronews are using the same or similar fonts on screen. Thought that was a interesting choice.

Euronews' most recent visual identity, including the current logo and use of Gotham as a typeface everywhere, debuted long before NBC announced an investment into the channel. It definitely is an interesting coincidence though. At the time, I thought it looked more like CNN though because CNN was still using Gotham on air.

I still miss the more simplified looks that Euronews had in the past, particularly the 2008-2011 and 2013-2014 years.

The 2008 look felt quintessentially European -- it perfectly complimented the channel. With what they have now, you could remove the Euronews logo and it works a generic package for virtually any news channel.

The two different "Euronews"' on screen really makes the graphics package look disjointed...

I don't see that.
The ticker and the screens behind the anchor are showing the euronews logo. The word 'Euronews' on the strap is just the name of the channel written as text - it's not the logo.

Does anyone know when the actual rebrand finally arrives?

It's not the logo - yet. There is an upcoming rebrand that will incorporate it.
