The final weekday show launched tonight, and as I had guessed, it does alternate on a 2hr loop with
Raw Politics
.
Euronews Tonight
is presented by Sam Naz and is identical to
Euronews Now
, but has a small business segment and closes with ‘Ones to Watch’, a look ahead at tomorrow’s news. So that means the provisional weekday schedule is now:
6am UK/7am CT -
Good Morning Europe
(Belle Donati, Lyon)
11am UK/Noon CT -
Euronews Now
(Toks Salako, Lyon)
5,7,9pm UK/6,8,10pm CT -
Raw Politics
(Tesa Arcilla, Brussels)
6,8,10pm UK/7,9,11pm CT -
Euronews Tonight
(Sam Naz, Lyon)
11pm UK/Midnight CT -
Euronews Tonight
/
Euronews: All News Edition
(Sam Naz/news in images, Lyon)
I wonder if Sam Naz on the evening slot is a temporary thing? She did say on social media that she'd return to Sky News in the new year, so likely she'll be replaced in January.
Thanks. It'll be interesting to see what they do with Euronews Tonight if news breaks after 7pm. I'm guessing they'll update segments of the programme.
By the way, I quite like the standard presenter shot for Euronews Now. It feels a bit like what Sky News might look like nowadays if they'd never left their original studio.

Yesterday's 10pm UK/11pm CT edition was looped and shown from the following hour right through the night. I imagine, that like
Euronews Now
, the loop is replaced with a new loop every 2 hours or so. If news did break I assume they'd go into a live voice-over images followed by the newswheel in images (
All News Edition
).

I think that none of the current lead presenters have been titularised, perhaps apart from Tesa Arcilla and Belle Donati. I think this is a provisional schedule with gradual tweaks/amendments until a full launch (which I assume would be in Jan or Sept 2019, with "EuronewsNBC" rebrand).
I thought I remembered Belle Donati from somewhere. She was one of the regular panellists on London Live's pisspoor Not the One Show, where she demonstrated her 'party' trick with her eyeballs to a viewership of 10.
She then moved to France 24's English and French services. To be fair, she's shaken off the London Live stigma and is a decent anchor.

I love the main presenter shot as well. Reminds me a lot of old, pre 2005 Sky News studio which was its best IMO.
Euronews German has now also joined in: "Euronews Am Abend" uses the Euronews Now/Euronews Tonight look.
Although I have to say it seems to be the normal newswheel with one story after another voiced over by various people and the occasional recorded bit of in-vision presentation - I counted the in-vision presenter popping up four times in the programme shown in the 19:00GMT hour.
And Euronews French has now joined in: "Euronews Soir", mirroring the format used by Euronews German. Presenter inserts from in front of the video wall used by Euronews English. Presumably the presenter segments are recorded when Raw Politics is on Euronews English and then inserted into the newswheel?
