Aside from the programming additions, it doesn't look like anything else major is changing.

I did, however, notice this on the Euronews about page. If you had any doubt whether or not NBC would permeate throughout the entire brand:

Quote:
The company's TV and digital will ultimately be co-branded EuronewsNBC.

Seems like they're gradually introducing the NBC brand to Euronews before eventually calling everything EuronewsNBC. I've noticed the anchors on social media are all now calling the network "EuronewsNBC."

That's not unlike a lot of the cable channels owned by Comcast that were pretty much all rebranded into NBC after about a year or two each.

It could be that the rebrand will happen tonight at 6pm.

So Euronews will cease to exist as a separate brand after a quarter of a century?

Really like Raw Politics. Interesting discussions about very European topics, various guests and quite Trump-free. Also nice set.

Tesa Arcilla seems to be their go-to person for launching new shows. She's very good!

I didn't rate Tesa on RT and the morning show didn't really suit her, but Raw Politics may be the show that we see the best from her.

Raw Politics is an interesting concept, but not entirely new, there are many similar shows across the continent which take an irreverent look at European politics, even using that same set at the EU, the only English language one I can think of is France 24's 'Talking Europe'. The 45 minute format did seem like an odd choice though, given it's on a 2 hr loop I'm surprised that it has not been launched with another 45 minute evening show so that there is a full evening lineup instead of 45m show-15m filler- 45m news in images-15m filler.

Good Morning Europe is indeed 'good', relatively strong news content and no constant Trump and Brexit speculation! Again, seems an odd choice that the lead anchor from launch appeared in promos, presented Mon-Fri and then left to do another show a few months later - yet the promos are still airing? Who presents what exactly?

Euronews Now is awful though. Presenter looks bored, it's clearly not live as 2 of the 3 times I've caught it, stories shown had since developed and seems to be an on air audition for every reporter they have going, such a shame as the morning show is a good watch.

Belle Donati was supposed to be the presenter of Euronews Now, but she's been promoted to Good Morning Europe (goes full time in October) as Tesa has moved to Brussels. Also worth noting that Darren McCaffrey, formerly of Sky News also works on Raw Politics. He'll probably be Tesa's stand-in.

I see, thanks! Perhaps I spoke too soon, it seems as if the Euronews Now block has indeed been updated. Sam Naz has taken over at 1530CET and the headlines have indeed been updated. I hope they can get to a full day of anchored weekday programming by the end of the year, with Brexit (supposedly?!) and EU elections in 2019 - it could a be very lucrative time for the channel?

It'd be great if the ticker was level with the lower thirds during the heads.

Wonder if that's a sign of change to come?

It's not just Sam Naz and Darren McCaffrey from Sky News who have moved across. Angela Barnes is also on The Cube team.
