Trump is now off to Walter Reed Hospital. Sounds serious now.

Interestingly, CNN are following Marine One to Walter Reed Hospital, it's a short 5-7 minute flight, but we're seeing pictures of it, pretty much all the way, which is something you wouldn't get here, and something you didn't get when Boris Johnson was admitted to hospital when he had Coronavirus.

Reminds me of back in April with Johnson - sounds to outsiders like a fast decline in his health but is actually because its being downplayed. These things are managed like that, rightly or wrongly

It sounds fairly serious for his administration and party. An event at the White House at the weekend to unveil their nominee for Supreme Court Judge seems to have been the 'superspreader' moment. Lots of top Republicans are being tested positive and they've had to postpone the hearings to appoint the judge

Seems they might have suspected Trump had it before the debate on Tuesday. He turned up too late to be tested at the venue. Thankfully they had already decided not to shake hands at the start

I don’t think it will have much implications on the recent debate in terms of crew, Biden and Wallace. There seemed to be good social distancing in place. Perhaps if he was mic’d up by a crew member (can’t remember if he had a lav or not) or had makeup there might be a risk there.

11 people who worked on the debate have tested positive, all either media or those involved in setting up prior to the event

Probably a bit early for them to know of anyone got infected during the debate itself

Any word yet on the UK Broadcasters plans for Election Night?

I noticed on her IG that Kay Burley has been at the airport today so thinking about the timeline of quarantine etc. I'm assuming Sky have flown her out to the states that means she'll have a role in sky's coverage.

At this point with the BBC I'm just expecting Huw and/or Andrew Neil in Studio B with Katty in the Washington DC studio. At least if they used studio B and last years UK election desk they might be able to have more than one guest in the studio. So long as they don't use Studio C or Studio E for election night itself I might be able to bare it. ITV will just be in its CSO box all night with Tom Bradby as ever

There's no requirement to quarantine when you arrive in the US from the UK (assuming you are allowed to travel under one of the narrow dispensations).

I do really like the feel of the ITV Election set. It still feels fresh. And looks really modern. The CSO is almost flawless and they improve our every time.

Yep, Burley is going to be out in the US for Sky’s coverage. Niall covering for her this week.

Aside from the desks, nobody can 'feel' any of it. I'm not sure why they would ever want to create a CGI 'set' that didn't look modern.
