Yep. Straight after the titles Shaun Ley gave the usual BBC One viewers spiel, went into one story for the whole thing to be repeated again with exactly the same opening news item script, 3 minutes later with Mishal Husain.
Don’t look now, but they did the same at 10 as well as the network bulletin was at 10:05 tonight

They didn't handle tonight's 6pm news briefing particularly well either, crashing out of the Six midway through the headlines being read at 18:01.
Ben Brown introduced it out of vision after the Breaking News sting so was clearly in a studio somewhere, so why they took a minute of the Six was a bit baffling.

Katty and Christian likely to be replaced by a edition of world News (Today) from Friday in all but name until January announced on air. although branding hasn’t been confirmed yet

Weird to think that little over a decade ago, World News Today was the dominant BBC World brand and yet today is basically a generic fallback to cover up any holes in the schedule.

Seems that is still down to air in the early half of Christmas Week (up to next Wednesday.)

I agree it’s sad what it’s become wish it could return to its former status.

ITV had a programme looking at the perspective of reporting Covid-19 tonight called Reporting Coronavirus.
Midway during the documentary it appears there was two inserts from the regions. In the London region, they had interviews with ITV News London editor Hannah Emerson-Thomas, reporter Ria Chatterjee and Political Correspondent Simon Harris, along with clips of London's coverage of the pandemic.
Now I wonder if there was a split, as other ITV regions have been previewing Reporting Coronavirus during the main bulletin at 6pm using cuts from the local ITV teams, for example Kylie Pentelow did a bit for Westcountry and Anglia had Becky Jago and reporter Rebecca Haworth contributing.

Meridian had contributions from Fred Dinenage, Andrew Pate and Sangeeta Bhabra. Central had Sameena Ali Khan.

Scratch all of that-Monday-Wednesday next is down as a normal bulletin as Katty and Christian's 9:00pm bulletin is indeed on it's Christmas break for the next 2 weeks although Outside Source is still going on those 3 days.
