Huw on the Six tonight.

BBC One London messed up there at 6pm, anyone notice it?

It's a bank holiday but a full length Six due to the EU elections. Huw is the BBC's most senior News anchor which is why he's on Bank Holiday duty today. He will do the Ten too.

And if the BBC is like many large employers by working today (a not majorly celebrated bank holiday) he probably gets to work a day less over Xmas.

He also worked yesterday, a Sunday imagine that.

I pointed it out because its rare to see him front the Six these days.

Huw is certainly earning his BBC salary this weekend. I like Huw.

For working a Sunday and a Bank Holiday?

No, for the extra work covering the EU elections, local elections etc. Huw and his team were kept very busy this May 2019

Certainly a lot busier than the last May 2019, that's for sure.

Well he earns enough. I think some of these top salary newsreaders should work weekends. It's not beneath them on ITV or Sky, so shouldn't be on BBC. Plus we pay their salaries.

And he is on BBC Radio 1 this afternoon from 3pm
