Oh wow, that takes me back. I remember avidly watching Click Online at this time. I haven't heard that theme tune in nearly 20 years but it came straight back to me. And Rob Freeman - I'd forgotten all about him. He's doing the 'best on the web' slot here but I'm sure he ended up doing a slot on tech problems eventually.

Click has uploaded the full first episode of Click Online to YouTube, including titles, but no lower thirds and the end titles do not have credits, so it’s a pretty clean copy.

I hope they continue doing this, it's interesting to see the things that are now considered normal but were rather novel in the past.
You may also be interested in the Computer Chronicles on the Internet Archive - it was a regular fixture on one of the news channels (CNBC I think) on weekend mornings.

Yeah, sorry about that. I was getting all sorts of grief and hassle from people, most notably this user: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu2ArgqayTqJKv_3FCoetwA, who basically couldn't understand how I could possibly have these and so repeatedly accused me of faking them, insisting that I had to make it clear they were 'recreations'. I tried to explain that they were 100% real on several occasions but I just kept getting repeated abuse about it. Coupled with some guy called Adam Withey commenting every day how many views I'd had and it was just too much. They'd only been online a few weeks and if that was a taste of YouTube in 2020 then I don't want anything to do with it.

I've downloaded all the 2002 presentation and the World Weather sting from 2000.
Shame we have people like Adam who probably hasn't got the slightest clue of what TV presentation is.

As much as I hate to admit it, I can kind of understand the thinking behind the BBC World name change. Back in the original BBC World days, the channel was a really good mixture of news, current affairs and lifestyle programming. But by 2008 it was pretty much exclusively devoted to news. Programmes like Top Gear, Holiday and documentaries like Great Railway Journeys were long gone by that point. So, changing the name to BBC World News - at least for me - was understandable. However, I think the two channel names should have been BBC World News and BBC News 24 from 2008. Dropping News 24 was a mistake.
I always thought the reason was so that, because News 24 and World now had the same onscreen graphics, they needed to fill the space on World where the clock was on News 24.

Digressing from the thread, but I also recall when BBC World News was named simply as BBC World. And towards the end of that branding, the on-air introductions for a few years became “Welcome to BBC News from BBC World. I’m XYZ........”. And, eventually, the channel name changed to its current BBC World News.
The vast majority of people I know within and outwith still call it BBC World. (Or just ‘World’). Even it’s twitter handle is just @BBCWorld
