At the 7:30 bottom of the hour, in Studio A they played the recorded outside shot of NBH which was recorded in the dark when it actually was broad daylight at that time in London.

Just watching the NC there and as Sophie Long went thought the front pages the whole top of the Telegraph was blacked out. Anyone know why?

Maybe an advert?

EDIT: Having now seen it, I am going to go with error.

Big balls up on the News Channel, with the Rolf Harris sentencing imminent, they decided to go straight to a 30 second countdown and into the 1 O Clock News.

How was that a big balls up? The sentence wasn't handed down until halfway through the One. Much better editorial decision than 15 minutes of filler.

I couldn't believe they cut away from it either. All that new information coming in constantly from the judge - it wasn't like nothing was happening. Madness.

Not what you expect of a rolling news channel though. Loads of info was being given and they just cut away.

It could have happened at any point - and given the waffle/filler they had for an hour before hand all due to a sodding boat.

Given Harris's past relationship with the BBC, makes you wonder if they wanted to miss it, doesn't it?
