Ryan, I saw this on your Twitter feed after the Paris attacks on 13/12/15.

I just wondered how they dealt with the regional opts. Did WN just go to commercials?

The answer is yes it could, if they don't set it up right they could make it completely illegible.

It was the Saturday morning edition (Nov 14th) of Breakfast, so no regional news opts to work around

It was the easiest and quickest way for me to upload and post the image.

I was actually only 200 metres away from the studio at the time, staying in Media City the night of 13/14th Nov !

Is Jane Hill often on the News at Five?

Apparently the afternoon duo now cover the Five when Huw isn't available. The day before yesterday I saw Simon was on it.

Not necessarily, Gavin Esler covered for Huw earlier in the week.

Given it is half-term there is going to be some juggling about.

Some seriously cringe-inducing padding there from Ben Brown while waiting for Nick Higham to get into the studio to talk about the death of Harper Lee just before the TOTH.

I'd hate that job.
