Wonder if this is a cost saving in some ways - as I assume a bulk of the 2100 News Channel version will inherit content / production from the earlier BBC World News broadcast? (I suspect they may have to do the show via a different gallery though? Think OS for BBC WN comes through B, but that will be occupied by Newsnight by then, so it may have to come from C if E is required for Ten rehearsals)

Unless this new edition will be simulcast on World.

Guessing some studio problems as they've avoided even static wide shots and camera zooms. They've used a split screen for live interviews and this one was from the NBH balcony presumably because it could not have been held in the studio owing to these problems..

Wonder if that's the clip studio rather than studio A?

OS comes from the newsroom balcony, not the usual sets.

Regarding the gallery to use, if B is rehearsing Newsnight, E is rehearsing the 10 and C is broadcasting Business Edition, that only leaves Gallery A doesn't it?

Yep. So all of the Outside Source materials that are used on world are 'saved' on B's gallery and will be transferred to A's gallery.

Are we sure that this won't be a straightforward simulcast involving a bit of schedule juggling for World? I thought that was the point of the hour of international news being introduced, to save money. If it's not a simulcast I would expect the programme to be a lot more UK-focused...

Yes that was exactly what I thought. Otherwise, having Ros Atkins added to the schedule would surely add to costs, not be a saving?

It will be a simulcast with World.

So maybe Business Edition will be moved to 9.30 and will also be part of the simulcast. I don't think OS will take a full hour.
