It will broadcast Monday - Thursday 9pm.

Friday-Sunday's it will be a simulcast edition of 'World News Today'.

Does that mean the Friday edition of Business Edition on BBC World News is gone?

Does this mean a new edition of WNT as it isn't currently on at 9pm?

Guessing some studio problems as they've avoided even static wide shots and camera zooms. They've used a split screen for live interviews and this one was from the NBH balcony presumably because it could not have been held in the studio owing to these problems..

Outside Source is coming to the News Channel

Retweeted by the OS account, and from a BBC News reporter so presumably accurate.

Fantastic news, exactly the type of show the News channel needs at 9pm.

So who would be presenting the new program of OS? Ros?

Possibly Clive Myrie? Wasn't he seen filming what looked like a trailer in the Newsroom during the News at One newsroom pan recently? Could be coincidence of course.

From the bits I've seen on World make me think the programme is very gimmicky.

Not sure about Outside Source. The bits I've seen haven't really worked for me - the touch plasma just comes across as a bit contrived and gimmicky, and the whole thing is a bit like watching your dad dancing at a party. It want to be cool and down-with-the-kids, but it doesn't quite work. Well not for me.

I know others like the style of presentation, it just seems a bit 'style over substance' to me.

Ros confirmed by News Channel controller as host of OS.

Does this mean that Clive Myrie/Martine Croxall are still doing the papers but their shift now starts at 10:30 Monday-Friday?

Wonder if this is a cost saving in some ways - as I assume a bulk of the 2100 News Channel version will inherit content / production from the earlier BBC World News broadcast? (I suspect they may have to do the show via a different gallery though? Think OS for BBC WN comes through B, but that will be occupied by Newsnight by then, so it may have to come from C if E is required for Ten rehearsals)
