What an excellent idea having Lyse Doucet to lead the whole coverage in a Paris today! I think it it time for John Simpson to move aside and give Lyse the World Affairs editorship!

She really is such an incredible journalist, possibly the BBC's greatest asset. Her and Mishal are an unbeatable pairing.

The 2PM TOTH didn't quite go to plan on the BBC News Channel *

So due to the Cameron, Obama press conference, The Film a Review never happened. What happens now then? Does the Film Review get pre-recorded during the 6 in C? I don't recall the last time The Film Review never happened due to a press conference.

It didn't happen last week due to the rolling coverage, but it was still recorded.
I would guess that it will have been recorded whilst the press conference was going on, but I'm not really sure.

It gets repeated after the original airing, so you would assume it is still recorded to be aired in those slots.

Won't it appear at 9:45 then (since it is usually repeated during the News at 9 on Fridays.)

I don't recall this shot being used for DTL interviews before, only when crossing to a reporter at the screens. Certainly makes a change from using the two smaller plasmas

They still didn't have permission from the operator to set up their equipment, and were hurried away after that!

A similar shot has been used in C for DTL interviews on HardTalk. Not seen it done in E before.

Quite a few times at work today, whenever I looked up at the tv screen, BBC News were showing Meet the Author. It seemed to air in the last 15 minutes of the hour. Is this a new policy? Seems a bit strange if it is.
