My God, why can't they align the logos with the clock? Is that so hard?! I don't think they've ever managed to achieve that.

That's just not true. I think only on the weekends does the clock (sometimes) wait until after the titles to pop up. On a regular weekday, the clock is on screen no matter what. There's also one of the stings which has the same endboard. Do you expect them to take the clock off every time they play the sting?
The clock should be removed during titles. The fact it doesn't is a mistake on the part of who ever is in the gallery at the time.
Ideally titles and graphics would be designed to align nicely, but the title graphics are usually outsourced, while the on screen graphics are done in-house. Following some kind of brand guideline. This is how silly mistakes like this happen.
