Breakfast titles screen capture - 1920x1080 (stretched from broadcast 1440x1080), compression artefacts as broadcast.

My God, why can't they align the logos with the clock? Is that so hard?! I don't think they've ever managed to achieve that.

...the clock isnt meant to be on screen at the same time as the titles end board.

Ah so that was a mistake then? Still, it would be nice if they all did align for the rare occasions such an error occurs.

Really really hypothetically, where could BBC Breakfast move to in Quay House in the very long term for a new studio with a higher ceiling and more room, to create more of what will we see in W1?

I'd just be interested in what you can suggest.

No comments on the floor tiles, yet?

Yes the ceiling would be the same height, but parking them on one of the balconies overlooking the atrium would give them a huge backdrop. Whether that is feasible IDK i dont work there. Sad

you'd get a view something like this...

The video on those screens have some bad looping. The weather was upscaled SD. Did they use any special currency and stocks full screen graphics at all?

BBC Sport definitely got the better studio(s). I would still really like to know why NWT didn't move to where Sport is now, as was proposed. Breakfast would have been sorted then, although I acknowledge the fact that building the NWT studio happened without Breakfast in mind.

The only place with really high ceilings does appear to be the ground floor, judging by photos on Google.

Not that I've seen on skimming through. The video I've sent you has the most graphics shown during a Business segment.

Now I would presume they thought it would be a good idea to leave the studio as is for a regional news show, and then after, decided to move Breakfast, and so the only space they could use was NWT's studio. BBC Sport needs to be available for BBC World, and the upcoming Olympics no doubt

I just have a feeling that this studio will date rather quickly, and there's nothing really you can do in a short space of time to change it at all, short of changing images on the plasmas.

That business clip did not have an update on the stocks or currencies

That's just not true. I think only on the weekends does the clock (sometimes) wait until after the titles to pop up. On a regular weekday, the clock is on screen no matter what. There's also one of the stings which has the same endboard. Do you expect them to take the clock off every time they play the sting?
