Makes sense considering how UK heavy the news is this afternoon.

I was wondering if the simulcast had returned because Philippa introduced viewers around the world but seemed to stumble a bit so I assume the autocue just hadn’t been changed or the presenters are so used to welcoming uk and world viewers it was just habit Very Happy
I thought it would be weird to return to simulcasting considering gavin Williamson is still to speak and all of the news will be about the new tiers.

Philippa hasn't I think done a news channel only shift for 7/8 years,

Surprised they haven't extended the bulletins today when there are so many stories:

- Oxford vaccine approved
- Brexit deal approved
- Millions more in Tier 4
- Changes to schools going back

Not sure how they will get all that into 15 minutes!

Well you got it into 4 bullet points and other than stating the new situations I’m not sure there is a lot that can be said about these stories which isn’t already known. I imagine a couple of minutes on each of them will suffice.

I’ve warned a couple of people who seem to regularly be cropping up with rota talk. The guidelines are pinned to the top of the forum, please do not keep ignoring them.

I was answering a question and wasn't really rota talk, not talking about shift patterns or similar but exceptional event

I feel Asa a review needs to be done, its infringing on freedom of speech, the previous compromise of rotas in separated thread was OK as long as it didn't go into private lives

Don't know if this is rota talk but good news that we'll be seeing Simon into 2021.

Without Alastair Stewart this year... I think Simon might be my choice this year.
