I’ve warned a couple of people who seem to regularly be cropping up with rota talk. The guidelines are pinned to the top of the forum, please do not keep ignoring them.

I was answering a question and wasn't really rota talk, not talking about shift patterns or similar but exceptional event

I feel Asa a review needs to be done, its infringing on freedom of speech

There is no true freedom of speech, you’re free to say what you want within the rules. It’s Asa’s forum and he has overall responsibility for the content and ultimately it’s his right to decide what the remit of this forum is.

Don't know if this is rota talk but good news that we'll be seeing Simon into 2021.

I guess tomorrow we'll have footage from around the world every hour of cities not celebrating New Year.

Which makes Simon the perfect host.

I really want the BBC team to give Simon the most trivial stories up until midnight to see if it breaks him!

Probably the wrong thread, but do we know who is replacing Alistair Stewart over at ITN?

My guess would be Lucretzia, Nina or possibly Mary.

The last 5 minutes on BBC News was a mess. They got their timings wrong and cut Anita off saying “You’re watching BBC News”. Then we go to the weather- oh wait actually we’ll talk about the New Year’s honours list, complete with stutters because it’s not been put in the autocue. Then we crash back in at the bottom of the hour, with no music. I know they’re short-staffed but I’m still not impressed.

Probably, the timing of the ad break was off on BBC World News, causing the op-out/op-in to go a bit out of sync,
