Things you don't hear or see on TV anymore

Talk of 'End of Part One' captions in another thread got me thinking about things you never or rarely see on TV anymore. I don't mean generic things like regional idents, IVC, or still holding slides - but rather supers or captions we were used to seeing or sayings we were used to hearing back in the day.

For example:

End of Part One/Part Two captions
There is a Fault. Please do not adjust your set.
"Answers on a postcard please"
"Send a stamped addressed envelope"
"Cut out the coupon in your TV Times"
"Except for viewers in Scotland"
"BBC1 is now returning to a trade test transmission"
"After the break.." (still said, but supposed to be a no-no)

Obviously, we know WHY these things are no longer seen or heard, but it's still quite interesting to reminisce. This thread will quite possibly die of death quickly but hopefully not!

Did they ever say that? Wasn't it usually just referred to as Three by the CAs?

Cue dots, except on a small number of live programmes

Static programme slides with a live voiceover by the announcer, except for stuff like the Lottery results

No short filler items between programmes like Community messages, Crimestoppers etc

No unscheduled programmes to fill time such as cartoons or stuff that LNN seemed to make like Star Bites or gardening tips.

Programme breakdowns, very rare these days, even on live shows. Yet news OBs still go down much more often.
