I guess that is the nature of BBC World News as it broadcasts to somewhere always where the interview will be watched at a 'significant' time.

What happens if The Film Review isn't broadcast for breaking news, is it recorded afterwards for future broadcasts over the weekend?

Most likely yes-At the end of The Five, Simon McCoy apologized to those waiting for The Film Review and pointed to the 9:45 broadcast this evening so i'm guessing it will be recorded between now and 9:45.

I would have thought considering the possibility of over-running into the News At Six, that they would have pre-recorded it at 4.30pm, before the 5.

Newswatch presented by Steve Hewlett tonight.. for one week.. discussing Outside Source on the News Channel from next week, and confirming Newswatch will be at 9.30pm from next Friday.

I believe it's always prerecorded.

I think the first broadcast is live because usually they go to the BBC Sports Centre before the titles start - same is true for the Papers on weekdays.

No more Your Money it seems on BBC News for the moment. Short edition of Click has just began to be shown this morning at 10:35 while they wait for a FIFA press conference.

According to the schedule for next Saturday, Talking Business with Linda Yueh is back at 2030, although Linda has removed that she's a BBC presenter from her Twitter profile.

Late news won't air till after 10, so I don't see what the problem is? World News Today won't be from Studio E anyway will it?

Very occasionally the late Saturday news has aired in the 9pm hour, but I guess World News Today just wouldn't be simulcast when that happens in the future (In 2013 the late news on the Festival of Remembrance Saturday was at 9pm, but last year it aired after the festival)

I can't see why if the BBC Weekend News is during the 9pm hour that would affect the BBC News Channel. Studio E would handle the BBC network news bulletin and Studio C could handle World and News Channel (as they do overnight).

Ros Atkins was on Friday's Newswatch talking about the launch of Outside Source from Monday on the News Channel. He was questioned as to how much UK news there will be and how capable the show is in handling UK breaking stories.

I'm more convinced by Ros Atkins's interview about how his show will cater to UK audiences than Victoria Derbyshire's interview on the Media Show when she tried to claim how her format would cater to NC viewers.

It looks like Newswatch confirmed or reiterated what we have already suspected for quite some time now: "cutbacks" are impacting NC. I'm not sure though why we are talking about budget cuts when the licence fee has not decreased since 2010. If anyone can explain to others why we have budget "cutbacks" despite the fact that the licence fee has not gone down that would be great. While I think that the fee is still quite high for most of us, if ever there are cutbacks, they are cutting it back from the wrong departments.

Having said that, I don't expect the licence fee to go up anytime soon to ease the pressure since the man in charge of C, M and S is known to be hostile to the idea of the licence fee altogether.
