True HD from my end.. (DSat)

BTW, how did ITV Border (Scotland) join the programme? STV HD played the ident to full until we had a hold.

Was just like a normal junction. England has 1 promo, and we got 2 though. Presumably to wait for STV to 'catch up'?

I thought Border was running late, as the STV HD Ident was still on for a good few seconds, I think the ident music was almost at an end...

The debate seems very lively and enjoyable. I'm surprised this isn't being shown on BBC Parliament or one of the news channels.

I'm guessing STV consider it their broadcast - no idea if they will have offered it to other channels? (Bit like the BBC and ITV leader debates during the General Election campaign)

I assume BBC Parliament are being allowed to show it tomorrow - or have bought it?

STV offered it to ITV, who declined. Sky News wanted to show it, and STV declined.

A nice vt clock design in between the breaks, I presume this is the standard stv vt clock, I'll see if I can take a grab from it later.

Stupid of STV to refuse probably the only channel that wanted it...

Sounds as if the show is coming via satellite, and the delays haven't been factored in, or the break bumpers designed with soft ins to soak up a little bit of delay?

Three mics and the wrong one faded up on Alex Salmond just then...

There's an Arqiva uplink at 12.5w but I thought it was backup.

That seems a bit of a stupid decision on STV's part. Fair game to offer it to ITV but it doesn't make much commercial sense for them to show it, especially at two hours long and on their weakest night of the week ratings wise anyway. It doesn't particularly fit in with the audience for ITVs 2-4 either.

And then to deny Sky News the rights to broadcast it, I can only guess they didn't want people thinking Sky had produced it and not STV.

Are Border Scot also taking the extended Scotland Tonight after NaT tonight as well?

I imagine STV wouldn't want viewers in Scotland watching it on Sky - and reducing their advertising revenue.

ITV would be showing it outside Scotland and wouldn't impact on STV's revenue.

No

That's a bit moronic if they aren't going to show the 'aftermath' as such about the debate...
