Not sure whether this a typo or not.

The development will see four television studios, the centre's restaurant, drama blocks and connected buildings replaced.

Could this mean TC4 or 8 is staying?

It's probably a mistake. I've seen a number of pieces that say the BBC opened TC with 7 main studios (which is technically correct, as TC8 opened later in Stage IV of the development.) That said, TC8 is within the part of the building that BBC Worldwide are supposed to be moving back to and there has been speculation that it could be retained as some sort of multi-purpose exhibition space, hall, even (shock) TV Studio. If that's the case then it'll be very much approved of by the industry as there has been a long campaign to retain a second medium sized studio at the centre. TC8 is also beloved of Sitcom producers as it's just the right size and the audience facilities are excellent.

So, this set has been seen live for the last time ever ... albeit covered in Christmassy gubbins!

Is the new One Show set at NBH likely to be similar, complete with the familiar green sofa?

That seems a bit of a nothing post.

You should be be able to answer your own question to an extent by looking at the picture above.

BBC logo overload!! It would look much nicer if they were on every other barrier.

Even though I am a staunch BBC ally, why does the reverse wording of the word 'one' in the picture remind me of this from 2004:

Oops indeed!

I'm not sure because it's just the 'one' as used in their current logo, broken up into segments exactly as in the titles they've used for years.

Maybe it could be with the word being reversed that is doing it for me.

Can't remember if I read it on here or Facebook so sorry if I'm just repeating what has already been posted but apparently the One Show studio will now be used by BBC Research and Development as a replacement of TC0 which they used for testing various new technologies.

Will Film 2014 move to the One Show studio at BH too?

The One Show: Best Of 2013 is currently airing on BBC One, and due to the links, I have a feeling that they might preview the new set

There's a Coffee Nero directly across the courtyard from The One Show studio isn't there?

I guess the large sectionalised 'ONE' has been done this way to cover up getting the coffee bar logo constantly in shot, when the jib swoops from high to low and on the presenter/guest sofa two shots?
