They could do something like network (their old set was rounded with a view of the newsroom/BBC Birmingham offices - the reason the window went was the fact it was distracting and there's nothing left at the Mailbox!

It was distracting - seeing people go home is never a good idea, but surely the area behind the studio window was the newsroom which is still populated with people

Yup, and then they made it look smoked out in 2010 - ruining any point of the window being there...

I used to wonder if BBC LDN (as was) paid their staff to hang around Marylebone High Street or start them later

The EPG is showing the bulletins in HD, although Alice Bhandhukravi has confirmed on Twitter that it continues to be in SD only.

Surely they can't broadcast in HD as neither BBC 1 London nor the news channel is HD. BBC 1 HD just shows filler, normally.

The headlines from BBC London at 1pm appeared to be using the same background that the BBC News at Five and Nine use of the newsroom.

New titles in colour, with new images that have not been sped up, the end board text is black rather than grey, and animated astons - all looking good so far and a welcome return to using a proper desk!

It does feel a bit more 'Newsroom South East' in tone. It's only taken 12 years for BBC London News to come full circle.

Interesting. The images in the titles are now coloured, in contrast to the original white and black.

Yes - they seem much better than the previous 2 versions in black and white with the red hue. The music has stayed the same sadly, I was hoping they would adopt the original 2008 mix that lasted about 3 days!
