The balcony bit does match Studio B's set though.

What is the camera situation in D? No tracks like C and E, presumably something more like B has?

My only niggle is the blatantly obviously fake little balcony which adds absolutely nothing at all. Who on earth thought that that was a good idea?

They have something similar on the BBC News at Five/Nine Backdrop.

A little bit of BBC London went out on BBC One HD instead of the red slate at 0905 - though it appeared to be in SD. Probably something to do with the tielines between BH and Salford not all being HD...

I was in London earlier this week and noticed that there was no longer the extended travel bulletin at Breakfast. Rather than a separate presenter and a load of traffic cameras which was always a feature of London bulletins, there was just one camera shown and a quick summary, no longer than any other region. Have they dropped this fuller round up? ITV had no cameras at all.

They've been gone for a while now. Despite the changes, the travel bulletins are still more informative that ITV London or London Live.

The travel bulletins were scaled back in December 2012 during the cuts.

Travel bulletins are currently written by the radio travel broadcaster on BBC London 94.9, sent to those in the TV Gallery who then put it into the TV bulletin and use the camera suggested with the main bulletin presenter then reading the travel news out

It's rare to see an in-vision travel presenter on BBC London TV nowadays, but occasionally during periods of bad weather or significant travel disruption one may appear.

I see they claim in the post that it's not possible for them provide a region other than London in the event of an opt failure. It's actually quite easy - coding & mux can just route a different region's BBC One into the encoder.

It may be possible in general, but would the skeleton crew on at that time know how to do that?
