Speaking of Jamie, where is he nowadays? Haven't seen him yet for weeks. Last time I saw him presenting was few weeks ago doing WBR on late mornings (GMT also I think).

He was on 4 times last week, including the Good Friday GMT shift.

It seems Jamie is showing up only on Friday afternoon... while Aaron shows up on Mon-Thu afternoon & Fri morning.
Downgrade, or he just wants to lay-low for a while?

Also, Yalda Hakim is handling BBCWN bulletin at 1200 GMT and 1700GMT, and she had done it significantly well since her first news bulletin a few days ago.

And Komla Dumor did Global earlier... I guess Ros is not available as well.

Actually Jamie is always around, he fills in regularly for Tanya in her evening biz slot plus on Fridays he does Aaron's late morning/afternoon shift plus the evening biz shift that also includes one regular WN bulletin at 21.00 cet.

Don't you mean Jon Sopel for Global? I thought Ros Atkins was WHYS.

Nope, as said on an earlier post... Ros is in South Africa (may I ask why?), and Komla Dumor presents Global last night...

Nope, as said on an earlier post... Ros is in South Africa (may I ask why?), and Komla Dumor presents Global last night...

What I meant by rostered on is, was he supposed to do it yesterday? I understand he's abroad so couldn't physically do it but doesn't mean he was going to present it anyway as relief.

WHYS(R) was on location from Africa last week, covering various countries, I think. So, I guess that's why Ros is in South Africa.

Ros has been Jon Sopel's deputy since the launch of World News from NBH. So, when Jon is away, Ros has stood in for him.

I surmised that since Jon was away and Deputy Ros is also away, BK got the call up to do Global.

I have no clue if this was a rostered case or not as I'm no longer responsible for the Global roster. I'm only in charge of everything else.

Alastair Yates retired, as far as I know. I'm not aware of any particular animosity.
