Well they didn't exactly do much to the set - probably no more than a hundred or two quids-worth anyway.

Yes they never spent much because their set never got the new plasma screens that the other regions got.

Yes! Andy Bonner confirmed this on Twitter. Is that the definite, confirmed date for moving in?

Will be available to capture it for you all in Full HD, if so.

I wouldn't bank on it being transmitted in HD. Meridian moved to an HD facility
in Oct 2011, and their news broadcasts are still in upconverted SD.

Journos tweeting are no authority on anything technical, least of all regarding their own workplace.

Maxine Mawhinney tweeted a couple of weeks ago that the BBC News Channel
would be available in HD from March. Wrong I'm afraid.

Do we think Fred Talbot will actually return to Granada Reports? There was an article in January where he said his life was in "limbo" and that nothing had emerged re police investigation.

So has he been questioned then?

Last I heard, he was on hols when the story blew up.

Is it next Monday March 25th when we see the move to Media City UK? Nothing mentioned so far and I would have though a week of special reports about the History of Granada at Quay Street would have been on this week?

Although maybe that will happen when everything finally moves?

Interesting they're having a soft launch on Sunday, a good idea I guess in case anything goes wrong. So officially the last live broadcast from Quay Street will be on Saturday teatime.
