Matthew Amroliwala has been hopping about the schedules this week...

Mon 1900-2200 with Annita McVeigh
Wed 1400-1800 with Sophie Long (single-headed 5 O'Clock)
Thu 0830-1100 with Carole Walker

Perhaps they're trying him out for a new slot? It would be a big change to see him leave the brunch shift. He's really breaking-news material in my opinion, alongside Jane Hill and Annita McVeigh.

It might be because everyone else is at NBH for the new pilots.

Yes, presumably Simon/Carrie were at NBH today to pilot, since we already know they're sticking in the same slot.

Ooh! A wee change to the usual Friday line up for us on World: Zeinab Badawi with GMT (she's superb) and Philippa Thomas coming up with Impact (she's also superb).

Of I'm not mistaken, Philippa's first Impact?

She also presented The World Tonight on Radio 4 last night, and is scheduled for tonight. She has presented quite a few editions since Robin Lustig left, and I do wonder if she will be named as the second presenter at some point.
