You'd think Robert presented every day on the News channel - he's very good.
He's very good, I wonder if they're lining him up as another relief presenter?
He was just a little rusty at first (as you would be after 3 years!) - he got a couple of cameras wrong and got caught out at the headlines summary a bit. But very impressed.

I never liked him on Breakfast, but always preferred him on the news channel. He is very good, but I can't imagine this being permanent. They will be short staffed at the moment with pilots at NBH (which is probably why Rachel Schofield was back yesterday and Carole Walker has been popping up so much).
Maybe the 4pm presenter is also piloting. I imagine they must want to pilot a full day's run rather than just one or two shifts.

Robert Hall has done plenty of presenting before. There are a few reporters have before as well including Sangita Myska, Luisa Baldini, Gavin Hewitt, Razia Iqbal and Jo Coburn. Out of those only Luisa has presented recently.

Yep - Sangita had a reasonbly long stint as one of the presenters of BBC Three's The News Show back in the early 00s. (Alongside Tazeen Ahmad and Ben McCarthy)

Sally Nugent appeared for a spell while she was a news correspondent, I seem to remember Claire Marshall appearing fairly often around that time too. Obviously Carole Walker is another at the moment especially.
