Noticed that too. Classic picture of the cut glass era set. Looking great.

Guess it's just being used as a generic image to represent TV broadcasting.

Is the STV ident music especially composed?

I only ask as the live snooker on ITV4 that started today is using a very, very similar sounding piece in the background during their statistic boards in the analysis segments, complete with the same four-note theme as STV...

It was. But then to make mmoney it was put onto k m p library, just like all the stv themes.
