How come STV are showing Rod Stewart's Christmas right now instead of The Invention of Lying? Also, they're now not showing the ITV News at 11pm as advertised in the EPG.

Last minute change of programme, following a public outcry. Initially, STV viewers would've seen a sports awards ceremony, while the rest of the UK saw the concert on Sunday, and so it wouldn't have been seen at all by STV viewers.

It seems it was made by STV,

Quote:
Elizabeth Partyka, deputy director of channels at STV, said: “Rod Stewart’s festive show is a celebration of all things Scottish which is why it is so important that we bring the programme to viewers in Scotland first. The 75 minute show is definitely a highlight in our seasonal schedule and it is fantastic that we are able to show it as a worldwide exclusive.”

Turns out that big fat lie: there wanted the Sunday slot for Sunday Mail Scottish Sports Awards 2012 present by Rob McLean and Kelly Cates present.

I dare say if there broadcast that on a Saturday it not do as good.

They opted out of the news!?! Surely that's in breach of their public service obligations.

It was scheduled for 2315 but I didn't see it - was it a replay or a dedicated bulletin?

The bulletin was a replay, which I thought was against the rules - not unless there's some kind of timeshift limit?

Also, the programme was made by ITV Studios, not STV.
