so bbc world news will be getting new everything, so whilst BBC News channel is in TVC, we are stuck with the box studio and old graphics?
Only for 2 months, whats the big deal? Would you rather everything move in one massive go, something break and take the entire BBC News operation out of action? Or keep the two running in sync whilst new systems are put through their paces before domestic moves over as well? I'd rather they ironed out any issues with BBC World than BBC One
Why not - ITV are taking that risk on Monday. It would be nice to see the News Channel take priority over BBC World, or at the very least the BBC1 bulletins also move in on Monday.

ITV are using the same studios though, just new sets. This is completely moving buildings to a new technical infrastructure.
Also remember World had to wait nearly a year back in 2000 and then had to wait ages to get N8 revamped when News 24 moved into N6.
From a current content perspective, World led with the Savile story again yesterday, consuming almost half of the bulletin with the story. As I've mentioned before, whilst I would never disagree that it's major story in the UK, still not so sure about a World audience, given some of the other events developing globally yesterday.

But, hey, who am I to question?
Probably, BBC just wants to pay their dues from all the mistakes they have done in the past, and they probably don't want to dig their own grave.

Anyways, One thing I seriously want to see on "The World's Newsroom" is a dual-presenter newscast. The presenter will look so... alone... especially with that big studio.

Well the new News Channel studio will clearly show the priority it has over World News. The News Channel will truly be at the heart of the World's Newsroom within weeks.
