Jack Morton would have been a good guy to get in to design the set, his work on both Good Morning America and Channel 7's Sunrise was excellent!

I think I'm in love with the News desk from CTV's 2010 Olympic coverage. Embarassed

News 24 1997 if it launched the flags in 2010?

That studio is just utterly superb. Top that off with the stunning view of the Burrard Inlet and Vancouver Harbour... if i had the money, thats where i'd live.

You're not wrong, there, SRS. Superb studio. Yet, rather simple as well.

Sometimes, less is more.

They were invited to pitch so I understand but were too busy with Olympics.

What a shame!
Are you able to reveal who won the pitch? Thanks Smile

The more I think about it and the closer it gets, this Lorraine and Aled thing might just work a treat! If they can create the "HollyPhilness" with slightly more news, viewers will love it.

Both are very well established in their respective fields. So, it could be a real success!

Good luck to them!

Comment from ITV:
'Lorraine will continue to present her successful weekday show, Lorraine, after Daybreak each morning Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 9.25am,'

So what's happening Fridays?

They could extended the main show to 9:25 on Fridays (like GMTV did during the later years) or get another show/ Presneter to fill the slot on Fridays (like Entertainemnt Today for many years).

Also, that comment from ITV suggests that they are keeping Daybreak name.

Daybreak is in the listings from 6-8.30 on Monday 3rd, it could change but I at least expected them to list it from 6-7 and 7-8.30 if the name didn't change. All seems to have gone quiet on that front so its probably safe to assume the name will remain.

Just on the topic of Friday's Lorraine, I'm interested to see if Kate will present 'Lorraine' after doing Daybreak or if they'll keep Nadia on a Friday. I do think Fridays could do with being renamed, even if its just to 'Daybreak with...'. It's starting to get a bit silly now, and whilst Lorraine presents much more than people realise, it looks like shes never on.
