Yeah I watched him on the Quick Trick Show which was one of my favourite CITV shows, and of course he did the links with Danielle and Tom, in fact he continued doing them after they left. The reason why people don't like him in this thread is because Roy Walker IS Catchphrase, and so (just like with Blockbusters) any host is not going to match up to the original

I'm someone who grew up watching Stephen on CITV and loved him on that but I just don't rate him at all as a primetime presenter, same with Michael Underwood (not that he does much).
I thought Magic Numbers or whatever that thing was that bombed on Saturday Nights he did didn't go down too well. I think Stephen Mulhern's great on BGMT when he has people to bounce off and laugh with, but on his own, he's not the best.

I have to agree I do like him on BGMT, he alright on that. Maybe we should give him a chance, but I still believe we need a comedian doing gameshows. not sure why.
Who ever made the changes to CP in 2000 are to blame in the first place as there went for the shock and ore, made the public unhappy.

I did like Stephen in MOM and Magic Numbers. However he sometimes has his mind in the gutter making something innocent sound very dirty! I can just see him standing there smirking at a catchphrase which has a double meaning.

I think he could be quite a good choice, if he does it well.....
And likewise if there are any Catchphrase's like 'Snake Charmer' I feel he could totally corpse it and not recover...
