Hi everyone…

Well first I'd like to say just how shocked and saddened I am at this horrible news -- it's just so unbelievable…

Just heard from MSNBC that Air Force One has landed in Omaha Nebraska (go figure)

Anyway, the channels here are blanketed with new coverage.   I know that CNN Centre was evacuated, so they're kind of doing a 'barebone' broadcast, but it's fine.  CNN is on ALL AOL Time Warner network (including all CNN networks, TBS, TNT etc)

As for BBC World, when I got home from school, BBC America was taking World's coverage with Nik Gowing………

Alek, as your neighbor to the north, I would like to send my deepest regards to your nation and to your city. I don't think anyone could ever think of this happening ANYWHERE. I hope that the people who are responsible are caught and severely punished for what they've done.

The people of Canada (the Prime Minister said this) sends their regards as well.

Watching the WTC collapse in New York is bizzarre. It just doesn't add up, 2 towers in New York collapsing in New York.

But it happened. That's the fact. It happened.

'60 seconds special' was good.
Opening news update of a minute or so, then about 25 minutes worth of footage (actual camera footage, not network stuff, or with loads of DOGs etc), mostly in chronological order, with various subtle music beds behind.

Made a change to just be able to sit and watch and take it all in, rather than going from one reporter to another all the time - and at least Choice at falling into the trap of trying to over analyse everything.

Carrie Gracie?  She's usually on at this time.

I agree with the Choice programme, it made a refreshing change and seemed to make the day's events come across more clearly.  And I found some of the music incredibly haunting.

This is a impression of the caption which was used after Part 1 of Crossroads at 2.15pm today

I'm not sure if the 'hearts' were present though, but it was definally squashed in this way
