Broadcasting House, Salford Quays & TVC

It was 2 or 3 years ago. One of the letters blew off in high winds (and, ISTR, broke) - so they took down the other two while a new one was sourced.

The hoarding around the new BH extension has come down and you can now walk through into the main bit outside the doors from the back end of Hallam Street. It's quite nice close up actually, with all of the places etched into the pavement...

It was still quite mucky though when I was there a few weeks back, was still a lot of builders fencing around despite the majority of the hoarding being down.

One VERY annoying thing however is the BBC logos along the left hand side of the original BH being incorrectly spaced!

That's not on, I assume that the BBC has very very strict guidelines on the use of it's logo and branding. If it is anything like the company I work for, all colours, dimensions and sizes have to be perfect....

The guidelines have been relaxed in the last couple of years apparently. We wouldn't have seen an orange BBC logo as part of the Olympics coverage before this, for example.

Of course in the BH situation they should not be using some variation of the logo or making a mistake.

I wonder which set is on those gallery screens.

It's Studio B - you can clearly make out the distinct 3 screen setup seen in the renders. There's also a wider shot on a smaller screen showing the secondary presentation area to the left.
