I like the music on this one and it has a wonderfully retro feel:

I'm pretty sure the new logo has already been used, I think Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol has it.

Wow, this music bears a strong resemblance to Macarthur Park by Jimmy Webb, as heard on Australia's Ten Network in the 1960s, '70s, and early '80s:

...and on this US station in the 1970s:

The 90s version is the best variation of the P&D ident. I used to love seeing that.

Always loved RKO's classic one.

Wasn't keen on the colourful 1997 Universal Pictures globe, but the Jerry Goldsmith fanfare that went with it is already a classic. I do really like the look of the 100th aniversary one:

Here's the 100th anniversary Paramount one, it's rather nice:

The following is a TV ident but a very cinematic one: HBO's famous Feature Presentation intro form the 1980s, which introduced movies shown on the channel:

The streetscape is an actual model -- not CGI!

The music is great on the P&D ident. I haven't seen it in ages, they supplied Virgin/UGC/Cineworld for years and then Vue for a while. Carlton Screen Advertising now have the Irish cinema advertising market cornered now. I know they don't operate in the UK any more but over here they are still using the same star ident that they have used since they were rebranded from Rank.

Ahh yes, Carlton's superb ident just as good as the ones on TV. Was sad to see that go too (in the UK).

Good old Lambie-Nairn.
