BBC One fault during party election broadcast

...Was mid sentence about it before it finally came on air, so didnt bother. Seemed a bit of a mess, must have heard the phrase "Party Election broadcast" once every twenty seconds!

EDIT: Just failed again, out of the PEB...No continuity and breakdown slide back up.

Just seen everyone on twitter talking about it .... Omg it's happening again

Haven't seen a breakdown like that before - very flustered and apologetic announcements, very unusual, seems like a lot of manual operation and hoping for the best going on!

Now running almost 10 mins behind schedule!

Continuity announcer:

"Right, well, finally some good news. Sorry about that. It went on forever didn't it...

...at least I think we have... right, we have. Now: See You In Court"

The funniest thing was how he kept trailing the programme coming up, as if it was the highlight of everyone's evening!

"Bear with us, we hopefully will be able to bring you the P.E.B by the Conservative Party shortly"

I loved the fact he was mid sentence about how the problem was fixed and went straight to black!!

Caught the fault after the Tory broadcast

He certainly sounded exasperated! Caught it about a minute before the PEB, was it going on much before? Probably the worst time to have a failure, during a PEB as I guess it's has an agreed time to be shown making showing a standby less of an option.

The fault affected BBC Scotland too. They weren't carrying the Conservative Broadcast but were waiting on the 'See You In Court' programme so had the error screen up whilst London tried to sort the issue. BBC Wales & Northern Ireland had other programmes on so were unaffected.

Someone will probably get a smacked bum due to this break down and I mean that quite literally.

What were the nations due to show instead of the PEB by the Conservative Party and what did they show?
