I wonder if that music is the intro music. It's quite jazzy.

It will be interesting to see pics and info released tomorrow. Sadly ATV Today have not heard anything (i guess only the big guns get invited lol), we will have the press pictures at midnight, so if you are a fan of Adrian, Christine and Lorraine posing, then check back later. No doubt someone will post these before the embargo ends.

Well, GMTV is long gone now. The sofa is not red, but PURPLE! Laughing

Different trailer aired just after the News with Christine in the Dressing room, with Adrian asking her opinion about what to wear. A different track is used on this trailer though.

I hope the marketing and format of the show don't rely too heavily on Adrian and Christine, or they'll have problems when they choose to leave.

Did feel more like something out of The One Show than GMTV, so I suspect this may be a little more marmite than some had been expecting (to be fair, I think any programme hosted by Adrian Chiles is marmite television).

I also hope that "news and current afairs", "showbiz", "sport", and "a few gags" don't all have the same level of importance, otherwise I will be disappointed. I'm hopeful this programme will be far less "showbiz" and far more newsy, otherwise I struggle to see how it will move on from GMTV.

That's exactly what I thought as well. However I don't think the style of the promos will necessarily reflect the format of the programme. If Chiles and Bleakley proved anything on The One Show, its that they could handle the fluff with the more serious items quite seamlessly, which is why it proved so popular.

And promos for ITV breakfast television have always been quite light-hearted. Take, for instance, this example from GMTV's better days . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rsb77JdxuUA&feature=related.

I've said it before and I'll say it again . . . if Daybreak can come anywhere close to its US counterparts such as ABC's GMA or NBC's Today show, it'll be onto a good thing. Those programmes effectively combine the feeling of 'family' and a focus on a core group of presenters, with the capability to provide a serious and respected news service at the same time.

Really Newsy!! Laughing No serioulsy people might say that their concentrating on Adrian & Christine too much, but that's what the relaunch has been all about - I would think ITV would be stupid to not use them in the promo's.

I think not. Only the original TV-Am came close to the excellent US morning shows. When it was announced, Alison Sharman, ITV's Director of Factual, Daytime and GMTV, said this:-

We want to ensure that the core audience of housewives with children keep watching but are also determined to attract new viewers to our revitalised breakfast show.

Who on earth thought the nineties were a good idea?

I'd agree with that, bbcsport. Sadly I suspect they will go for something far more British.

I'm quite looking forward to next week, I'm not a GMTV regular viewer, so I'll be pleased to see something different, plus Christine at breakfast, that'll do me fine... Cool

Phil Reay Smith, a now former ITV News journalist has tweeted that Alistair Stewart and the Bank Holiday ITV News team has presented him with gifts for leaving.

He starts at Daybreak tomorrow. I wonder what he's going to be doing over the next week? Is he going to be a reporter or something else?

He's also changed his Twitter username, follow him @philreaysmith
