I notice that the desk in TC7 for the news is a bit of a mess, with cables all over the place to the side of George visible on the two shot with a reporter presenting at the screen. Wonder whether whatever took Newsround off air meant they had less time to set up for the six than usual?

Sounds like the breakdown music had hints of christmas in it also which is a nice touch.

Whilst BBC One had no Christmas ident for London for the 6 News and the One Show, I flicked over to BBC One Scotland and Christmas ident festivities were still abound.

ok, now BBC One has used a regular symbol. Just a thought... could RedBee's facilities at the Broadcast Centre have gone down and they're in the back up "elsewhere" and that doesn't have the Christmas symbols loaded?

EDIT: Strangely BBC Two Scotland just used the network anno into One Man and his Dog, but preceded it with a Scotland branded trail. Something very strange is going on!

Perhaps the constant playing of the same ident at every junction has killed it! Very Happy

That had occurred to me, but then again if they have copies of the correct programmes, trails etc why wouldn't they have the up to date idents?

Not that getting the correct ident scheduled is a priority of course

Of all the times when you wish they would play the ident music during a breakdown they don't!! I would loved to have heard the 'news ident' music in all its glory. Sad

cbeebies were having problems as well, the credits froze while we heard atrailer in the background, the next programme played for 5 seconds with a black screen, the programme then re-started itself!
