BBC One/BBC Two fallen off air: 15/12/09

BBC One has just fallen off air during Newsround... BBC Two also went off air as well - what happened?

Nice festive fault caption screen on BBC One... (I reckon it was an excuse to show it off!).

BBC TWO also having problems going into 'Escape to the Country' just before 5.15pm. A static of the BBC TWO tent (not sure of proper name) ident and some music and announcements.

BBC ONE also had a programme menu for tonights schedule up with the announcer reading it out before a black screen then into Newsround about 5pm. Not sure if Newsround had finished or not but the aforementioned lovely breakdown caption appeared for quite some time until straight into the Weakest Link at 5.15pm.

No idea but we got to see a lovely Christmas breakdown slide.

BBC TWO Wales used their own animated Christmas breakdown slide with ident music and local announcements at the start of Escape to the Country (with the correct font too!)

Just an excuse to show it off I reckon.

CBBC Channel had problem to. Ed and Oucho had to fill.

No regional ident into Six O'clock News (for BBC ONE NW anyway)

Nor in Yorkshire, plus quite a long wait before cutting to Harry Gration, which makes me wonder if whatever the problem was means that the network talkback isn't behaving?

Also, wouldn't it usually have been a CBBC breakdown caption?

Trailer tried to play then it broke down so they took it bk to ed & Oucho as they had not gone any where. + they almost just lost again just now.
