New Meridian, BBC South & South East Thread

Makes a change, it is usually Bev or someone else telling us Geoff is ill & thanking viewers for their concern.

His uncle Lew must be turning in his grave. To think Michael Grade claimed that he wanted to take ITV back to it's roots and yet he's done the complete opposite. Granted the current economic climate hasn't done any favours but even before ITV plc has been chiselling away at the foundations of what ITV was all about. I only really watch three things on ITV: the local news (though I can't bear ol' Swing Your Pants, but we won't go into that), local programming (which is only the political programming) and Harry Hill's TV Burp. I know it doesn't make much difference but even the latter (or any programmes that might tickle my fancy) I watch via STV or UTV. Much nicer presentation too!

Sangeeta didn't even say to Chris nice to have you beside her for the last week as Fred is back tommorow. If it was Helen James presenting a different story.

I see former ITV Weathergirl Chrissie Reidy is now reporting for BBC South East Today (how random is that?)

It was very random. It was like the equivalent of seeing Swing Your Pants Parkin presenting Children's BBC (oh..wait.. that actually happened..!)

Chrissie might just be freelancing who knows. Elswhere a slight hickup on Meridian SE opt this evening when after the half way sting Martyns weather began playing. Quite a bit into the forecast it goes back to Sangeeta and Fred with Fred saying "Very Clever". What happened in the South?
