He's been presenting on Granada since the start of February (discussed on page 9). Presumably he's just 'filling in' on Central.

They maybe use more than one studio - either that or they have changed colour very recently - I remember seeing the bluescreen on an earlier episode of The Weather Show.
Looking at the photo it might be the same studio.

EDIT: This link seems to suggest that they use differing colours.
(I'm half asleep - I've had to edit this so many times!)

I seem to recall in one behind the scenes thing, it was mentioned that the colour of the screen could be changed by the lights behind it.

That sounds right; I do remember seeing the screen was backlit, and I wondered why.

Anyway, Laura Tobin's hair seems to be fixed.

I think they changed to using green around the middle of last year. There were quite a few comments at the time about the presenters having green halos around them. It took them a while to get it looking right. No idea why they changed though.

I always just assumed they used blue because most fringing would blend with the sea, but that's probably just complete nonsense.

Paul Hudson used to have to contend with a green screen in the main studio for the Yorkshire forecast and a blue screen for the DTL forecast for Hull before the move to the new Leeds building. This meant either a change of outfit or making sure he was wearing neither colour.
