Anyone else find The Paul O'Grady Show without Paul O'Grady completely rubbish?

It's just a bunch of random features thrown together, with hardly any explanation as to why they are doing the feature, and without Paul's personality linking it all together

The crew is still featuring in front of the camera too much, they need to look at The Big Breakfast to see how much is suitable

I thought you've always found The Paul O'Grady Show completely rubbish since it's not been on ITV?

The use of the crew makes it difficult for non-regular viewers to enjoy really - it's all become a bit exclusive. And what's with Ossie (sic) - they made a big deal of him leaving to do something last week yet he seems to be a regular this week.

The guest week would work much better if the guest hosts were allowed to a bit more input into the show and regular features that Paul does (like the letters, tombola) were dropped.

I agree they need to sort it out. It's become less about the viewer - more about the crew in recent times.

Paul doesn't really want to do this show anymore, I can just sense it.

Dawn French wasn't that bad actually earlier this week.

I agree, on both parts. The use of regular folk used to be about bringing in selected viewers and getting them involved - but now it's all about giving the crew something to do.

It's probably for the best (for Paul anyway) that it ends this year, but if he does agree to continue I think it would be best to cut it down to perhaps two eight-week series a year.

Dawn French was dire. At least Joanne Page was fine with the volume down - Dawn didn't even have that going for her.

I think it works well, when they have a guest presenter who is used to doing light-entertainment programmes (EG Mel Sykes, Vernon Kay or Lorraine Kelly)-- otherwise it falls flat I think.

I agree that crew is featuring too much; I'm sure they do a great job off-screen, but I tune in to watch POG having a good chat, banter and knockabout with guests. On that basis I think they could cut out a lot extraneous stuff about the P Team and kids going on rollercoasters.

Watching Paul O'Grady tonight and he is up in the audience giving away prizes as part of the BIGGEST WEEK EVER!!!!!

I think Paul should work the audience like that more often, insulting them and getting a bit of banter going in a similar style as Michael Barrymore used to do. It'd be a better use of his skills than him siting there linking to a clip featuring The P team.

It was a much better format tonight with Paul up in the audience amongst real members of the general public, not the general public on the payroll. Also a change in the structure of the show with the second interview in the final part, and it just all seemed to flow a bit better.
