CNN used to have a lot of great promos with their anchors but not anymore. I wish they would do them again.
Still I think CNN's ads are better than the annoying breakfiller.

As for the reports, I think they have a lot of them but just like other news channels they have to repeat them throughout the day.

The sets are now all blue but you can say the difference if you are a regular viewer. I never liked the new sets but now I;m used to them. I still hope they will return to using newsrooms.

Monita Rajpal sandwiched between two sports anchors today - Pedro Pinto on one side and Don Riddell (filling in as news anchor) on the other side. I am glad Monita was there at all, as the other two are a bit low on the scale when it comes to the banter-ometer!

Where are Adrian and Mallika?? It's Friday, after all.

Nice to see Monita and her hubby Pedro. They got married recently.

Judging from the time of his post, I think he could be referring to CNNI airing the CNN.com Live break filler instead of World Sport on Asia Pacific feed.

I'm assuming they have dropped World Sport for the duration of the Beijing Olympics.

I don't understand why it is so difficult to air a replacement program these days?!?

EDIT: After 2 days, CNNI seems to have restored all World Sport bulletins to the Asia Pacific feed.

If I counted correctly, Max Foster did a 7 hours stint on screen today (CNN Today / Business International / World News / Business International).

He began by presenting CNN Today alongside Sasha Herriman, and then he continued to do what is normally Adrian Finighan's shift.

They will also have CNN Today, Yor World Today and WN Europe on weekends but shorter editions. I don't know will they start using London and HK on weekends too. Will there be changes in anchoring slots, openings etc???/ This sounds exciting.

EDIT: I've added the presenters names for most shows. WBT is the biggest change, also it looks like YWT is now permanently single anchored which is bad. I don't know what are they gonna do with Michael & Colleen who were one of the best teams on CNN.
Colleen has been doing news updates during the Conventions coverage and Michael is only on I Report.

They now have the blue lights beneath the newswall in London too, plus they put them on the desk, it looks better.

Some notably absent names from your line-up, Ginnyfan. I assume that Michael Holmes, Ralitsa Vassileva, Rosemary and Coleen McEdwards will still be used on YWT segments????

I don;t know, I hope Michael & Colleen are still part of YWT but the last time they did it was the first week of august.
Ralitsa & Rosie will be on weekends I guess, plus they are doing some segments of YWT at the newswall etc.
