Jack will be written out, Bill Tarmey is struggling with his health-- he reputedly collapsed with an agina attack on set the other day

Confirmation? Source? I'm just basing it on what we've been told, rather than rumour.

Anyone see the new closing credit sequence tonight? It had different scenes from the street, mostly at night. Perhaps they've changed them because of the clocks going back?

I thought it was because the episode ended at night, so it made sense to have night shots at the end. It's nice they have a variation anyway.

Good to see they put the effort in even though it's likely to be obscurred by a promo.

I just can't understand though why they never came up with an alternative to the blue bars!

Re Vera: Best decision in my opinion. I agree with JCB's points. How Jack will leave though, I don't know.

Agreed. It will be a completely different place without Vera, even though she hasn't been in it of late. I also am finding it hard to see how they'll write Bill Tarmey out...

One of my favourite (fairly recent) Vera storylines was her argument with Doreen Heavey (Maxine's mother) over the name-plate thing, back in 2002 IIRC. Hilarious. Laughing And then there's the classic Roy Cropper "ghost" thing in the Rovers in the 1990s.

Probably move to Blackpool - or if they're being really cruel they could take this Paul storyline to it's full conclusion and send him off to Strangeways!

Corrie got 11.5m and 11.2m for last night's episodes, quite brilliant figures. Clearly helped by the storyline and the clocks.Smile

Anyone know what happens to David tomorrow? I'm guessing he either ends up in a coma or he gets sectioned.

Something's got to happen, the police will want to reprimand him for driving without a license unless he is deemed mentally unstable, which he clearly is.

Everyone's favourite, National TV Award nominee Anthony Cotton will switch on this year's Christmas Lights in Bradford it has been announced today

Strange as I can't imagine Bradford's tough audience would buy Cotton's over the top camp act

I agree, I enjoyed those storylines as well, and also the one with Sean at the Bingo, I think that was her most recent "storyline" probabaly around 2004/5.

Its a shame when you look back at those storylines and how feisty and tough she was to now with her health declining rapidly.

That said, she can still pull out a brilliant scene whatever she does.
