ITV1 HD - Logo, ECP and trailer endboard

Well, according to the mock the itv 2, 3 and 4 would stay the same, so it looks out of place.



I haven't met a clever TV before.

It only took 5 minutes to put the image on my TV, take the photo and upload it. And it was too small. Nobody ever gave conclusive proof it wasn't. But now we're talking about this mock.

Your rebuttal has no effect on me, and the "Haha!" at the end only proves that you can't come up with a good reply. I don't care if you take on my comments or not - you can produce naff mocks all you want, and it won't affect me.

Ronnie, I'd hardly call him waltzing into the thread and simply bulleting a long list, most of which is nitpicking, of why the mocks are truly dreadful and worthy of trash, "good criticisms". He doesn't even suggest improvement or justify his opinions.

Plus in the past he's slagged off my mocks as seen with the "I'll-put-your-mock-on-my-telly" debacle. So sorry, but I will be a bitch if it'll get this snide little non-entity to go away.

Well obviously, once they went HD, their logos would change accordingly.

To be fair, Billy does list some good things but mainly it's faffery.

I'll accept that but it's supposed to be significantly different if it's the only HD channel ITV run. Makes you notice.

That's true but it's a background and black is fairly "boring, meaningless and naff" but does it's job as a background . The clue is in the word as to the purpose of a background.

That's basically what it comes down to, "I don't like it". Nice you came up with reasons but most bar one or two about HD RGB spectrum rendering were unfounded and rationalised.

I think the point he was making is that the black 'itv' bit in the HD logo is the wrong size in comparison to the other logos, not that the whole logo is too small on the screen (unless I've misunderstood what you were trying to say).

Overall I'm not too keen, there's not much new about the logo apart from some beveling, but the backgrounds and effects are, like some have already said, a bit psychedelic.

Eh, it'd be hard to balance the logo. The logo for ITV News isn't proportioned like you mentioned but looks fine.

Yes, I did mean the itv lettering.

I hardly think "reflections" make it stand out as a HD mock. Also, the background looks like a picture of burnt chesse with a blur on it.

The logo should be more distinctive with the "HD" rather than deviating from the original itv 1 brand. itv 1 and itv 1 HD are the same channel, with different resolutions.

I would have thought that since DVI can be used as a HD input (and quite a few HDTVs use it) that it would look the same on screen as it would on the TV.

I don't like the reflection or the skewing of the image otherwise I would have given this mock 4/4. 3/4
