An ITV insider told The Sun that the broadcasting is "talking to David" following the I'm A Celebrity star's comments on This Morning that the project will be starting in the near future.

ITV has been searching for a new chat show host after Paul O'Grady defected to rivals Channel 4 amidst much acrimony. Sharon Osbourne launched her own show earlier this year, but it was met with critical derision and poor viewing figures.


If it does happen.. do you think it will be a hit or just a flop?

oh dear, another chat show attempt to plug the 5 oclock gap...when will itv learn to stop copycating and produce a decent but different 5 oclock show?

Im getting sick of hearing about all these chat shows ITV have planned for the 5pm slot. The only one I want to watch is Bradley Walsh.

Why a chat show ?

Surely ITV could come up with something other than this, seeing Paul O'Grady / Richard & Judy' s on C4.

Even extend CITV, or go back to the 'good ol days', of US comedy imports.

Remember the likes of 'Happy Days' or 'Mork & Mindy'?

(Yes I do know they're on Paramount now, but you see my point!)

I think that they should have an american comedy at 5pm followed by a Family Fortunes at 5.30pm but with normal families (e.g not All Star).

Rotating with Bradley Walsh's chat show aswell.

I've read in DS that Jordan and Peter have a deal with ITV1 to do a chat show.
